Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 12 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of greon.com.au and to any quote, sale and installation of solar panels, batteries, inverters, EV chargers and related services supplied by Greon Power Pty Ltd (ABN 25 695 544 060), trading as GREON (‘Greon’, ‘we’, ‘us’). ‘You’ means the person or business named in our quote or using our website. When you accept a quote, these terms and that quote together form your agreement with us. If the two conflict, the quote prevails.

Part A: Using our website

1. Website use

The information on greon.com.au is general in nature and is not personal advice. We take care to keep it accurate, but products, prices, rebates and rules change, so please confirm details with us before you rely on them. Prices shown on the website are a guide only. Your quote is the only binding price.

You agree to use the website lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or copy our content for commercial use without our written permission. The text, images, logos and design on the site belong to Greon or its licensors. Links to other websites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.

Part B: Supply and installation

2. Quotes and pricing

Our quotes are based on the information you give us and, where needed, a site inspection. A quote stays open for the period stated on it, or 14 days if none is stated. All prices include GST unless the quote says otherwise. If information you supplied turns out to be wrong, or site conditions differ from what we could reasonably see when quoting, we may revise the price and will tell you in writing before doing any extra work. Our 30-day price beat guarantee applies to a genuinely better written quote for a comparable system, on the conditions set out in your quote or offer.

3. Standard installation and extras

Our standard pricing assumes, single story, single-phase, tin roof, upgraded meter box and switchboard. Not limited to, but including, an accessible roof, a switchboard that is safe and compliant, and a suitable place for the inverter and battery. Extra charges may apply for things like multi-storey homes, complex or fragile roofing, switchboard or metering upgrades, three-phase upgrades, long cable runs, trenching, asbestos or structural issues. We will explain any extras and get your approval in writing before we go ahead.

4. Accepting a quote, deposits and payment

You accept a quote by signing it or confirming it in the way the quote describes. The deposit and balance, and when each is due, are set out in the quote. You can choose a standard refundable deposit of $100 to $300 or, where it is offered to you, our zero-deposit payment plan. Finance may also be available and is subject to the finance provider’s terms and approval. We accept payment by the methods listed on the quote or invoice, and payment is received when cleared funds reach our account. If a payment is overdue, we may pause our work until it is paid, after giving you written notice.

5. STCs, rebates and incentives

Where your quote includes a discount for Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), you assign to us your right to create those certificates for the system. You agree to give us the information and signed documents we reasonably need to complete the assignment, and you confirm that STCs have not already been created for the system or for another solar system at the property.

If you do something that reduces or prevents the creation of STCs, we may add the value of the lost discount to your price.

Some quotes also allow for government rebates or incentives, including those for batteries. These depend on eligibility rules set by the relevant government bodies, and we cannot guarantee that an application will be approved or paid. If a rebate is reduced, withdrawn or does not apply to you, we will tell you in writing. You can then accept the revised price or cancel before installation. If you cancel, we will refund what you have paid, less any reasonable costs we have already incurred and can show you.

6. Approvals and grid connection

We will apply to your electricity distributor for grid connection on your behalf and keep you updated. Approval is decided by the distributor, and we cannot guarantee it or control how long it takes. Export limits or other conditions may apply. Some distributors charge application fees at their discretion. This will be communicated to you and will be charged extra. If approval is refused, we will offer you a revised system design or, if you prefer, cancel the agreement and refund the only deposit money you have paid to Greon.

You are responsible for any other approvals you need, such as body corporate, landlord or council consent.

7. Scheduling, access and site readiness

Installation dates are our best estimate. Weather, equipment supply, approvals and site conditions can move them, and we will tell you promptly if a date changes. You or your representative should be available when we visit or install, and you should make sure our team has safe access to the roof, switchboard and installation areas. If we cannot safely carry out the work because access or site conditions are not as agreed, we may reschedule and charge a reasonable fee for a wasted visit.

8. Delivery, risk and ownership

Risk in the equipment passes to you when it is delivered to your property. Ownership passes to you when you have paid in full.

9. Installation standards

Our work is carried out by appropriately licensed electricians and, where required, SAA accredited installers, following the relevant Australian Standards, network requirements and workplace safety laws. After installation, we will give you the compliance and safety documents the law requires. Where STC eligibility depends on it, the products we supply are approved by the Clean Energy Council (CEC).

10. System performance

Any estimate of energy production or savings we give you is an estimate only. Real results depend on factors such as weather, shading, roof orientation and tilt, how you use electricity, your tariff and normal ageing of the equipment. We do not guarantee a specific output or bill reduction.

11. Warranties and consumer guarantees

We give a workmanship warranty of 10 years from the installation date, covering faults in our installation work. Panels, inverters, batteries and chargers carry the manufacturer’s own warranties, and we will help you make a claim where we can.

Our goods and services come with consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. These include a right to a repair, replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Our warranties are in addition to those rights.

Our workmanship warranty does not cover faults caused by misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, repairs or changes made by anyone we have not approved, or events outside our control after installation, such as severe storms.

12. Maintenance

You are responsible for looking after the system as set out in the maintenance documents and manufacturer instructions we give you. Some systems also need to stay connected to the internet so they can be monitored and updated.

13. Changes and cancellation

If your agreement results from an unsolicited visit or phone call, you may have a cooling-off right under the Australian Consumer Law, and we will explain it to you when you sign. In other cases, you can ask to cancel or change the order by telling us in writing. If we have already ordered equipment or started work for you, we may charge reasonable costs we have actually incurred and can show you, but we will not charge more than our genuine loss.

We may end the agreement if you do not pay or do not meet your obligations and fail to fix this within 7 days of our written notice. If that happens, you must pay the reasonable costs we have incurred.

14. Complaints

If something is not right, please tell us. Our Complaints Handling Policy explains how to raise a concern and how we will deal with it.

Part C: General terms

15. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits, savings or income. We are also not responsible for the strength or condition of your roof or structure, or for any effect the installation has on a roof manufacturer’s warranty, unless we cause damage through our negligence or breach of this agreement. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be limited. Where the law allows us to limit our liability for a breach of a consumer guarantee, we limit it to resupplying the goods or services, or paying the cost of doing so.

16. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, natural disaster, supply chain disruption, industrial action or changes in government rules. We will tell you as soon as we can and work with you on a new timeframe.

17. Subcontractors

We may use subcontractors to carry out work. Subcontractors must be suitably licensed and qualified, and we remain responsible to you for their work.

18. Privacy

We handle your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

19. Notices

Notices under this agreement must be in writing and sent by email or post to the contact details in the quote or the latest details a party has given in writing. An email received after 5pm or on a day that is not a business day is taken to be received on the next business day.

20. General

This agreement, together with the quote, is the whole agreement between us on its subject. It can be changed only in writing agreed by both of us. If any part is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. A right is not waived unless we say so in writing. You may not transfer your rights under this agreement without our written consent, which we will not unreasonably withhold.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update the website terms in Part A at any time by posting the new version here. Changes to Parts B and C do not affect an agreement you have already accepted.

22. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, and each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and any courts that can hear appeals from them.
